TCP400 Thermal Visual Card Reader/Re-Writer System

Description

Introducing the latest generation of Visual Card Reader/ Writer systems from Star Micronics. The TCP400 is a “thermochromic” visual and magnetic card reader/writer and can be used to erase and re-write/print up-to-date information, loyalty points and special promotions on the front of a low cost Leuco or PET card. The back of the card can be used to encode holder information and points details on an ISO standard magnetic stripe or can be used in a “customised” format as the whole of the back of the card can be magnetically programmed.

The TCP400 is a compact and streamlined unit that will fit into any environment and is simple to operate. The card is simply inserted into the front of the unit and is updated and automatically ejected in as little as 3 seconds.

• Several low cost re-writable card formats available High contrast black or blue text can be produced on any colour “Leuco” based cards. White text can be produced on glossy silver standard thermochromic cards.

• Choice of USB or Serial RS232C interfaces with Ethernet option (Qtr 2 2004)
• Clamshell ™ Type design for easy maintenance with automatic indicators to warn customers of optimum time to run head cleaning cycle
• Compact design 119(w) x 270(d) x 132.5(h)mm (weight 2.5Kg)
• Mechanism version available with rear card access allowing connection to an optional 300 card hopper or for installation into a “process” system where the TCM300 is the last element.
